Quilters' Guild Acadienne......we are in for a treat with nationally recognized speaker, Mary Elizabeth Kinch coming in for our October 25th guild meetings. Mary Elizabeth will share her enthusiasm about our quilting heritage and her experiences as a quilter. Her workshops Friday and Saturday will allow her to no doubt stretch our traditional boundaries. Yes, Mary Elizabeth says she believes in 'quilting with abandon' while creating quilts with a subtle salute to the past.
Mary Elizabeth describes herself as a fabric designer, teacher and speaker who has co-authored two best-selling books, "Small Blocks, Stunning Quilts" and "Small Pieces, Spectacular Quilts." Mary Elizabeth's work has been shown at international quilt shows and in quilting publications. She has been a featured guest on The Quilt Show with Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims.
