I found the most delectable scrap happy quilt on a favorite blog - Red Pepper Quilts - that was worthy of sharing.  Using Rita's comments on construction and this delectable mountains block  how-to from The Fat Quarter Shop, I'll bet your scrap pile will diminish quickly.

Cyber WHAT???

Shopping local is what all good quilters should do and we all do that.....right?  However,  when there are still a few gaps in fabric selections and not quite enough yardage on the home shelf, then let's go shopping:  Internet shopping on Cyber Monday spotlighting quilt kits found at Hawthorne Threads, a little internet shop run by Lindsay and Charlie.

So, there is a quilt shop near you.......Sew This!   I googled a map and related Abita Springs to Lafayette:  a 2 1/2 hour road trip.   Abita Springs to Metairie, yes, across the causeway easily done in one hour.  Now, from Monroe, we have a different story - it will have to be an overnighter because it's gonna take us 4 hours...that is if we don't stop for a bathroom break.  But still, there's always a quilt shop near you.  Get in the car and roll.
